HOW TO ENTER
1. READ THE RULES!
Entries are accepted subject to the Rules and Guidelines. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that he or she has read and understood the Rules and Guidelines BEFORE entering. The entrant must also read the guidelines specific to the section he or she wishes to enter. Please note that there are performance tips included in each of these sections.
2. CHOOSE SECTION(S) YOU WISH TO ENTER
Entrants 3 -7 years of age may only enter the Junior Actor section.
Entrants 8-15 years may enter one or two of the following sections: Commercial Actor and or Screen Actor.
Entrants 16 years and older may enter one, two or three of the following sections: Commercial Actor, Screen Actor, and Presenter.
Entrants in the Professional Screen Actor section must be 16 years and older and have recognized professional industry credits as determined by an AST-appointed casting professional.
Entrants may be asked to produce identification at the event. Date of birth will only be published for entrants 18 years and under.
Substitutions are not permitted.
3. FILL IN THE ONLINE ENTRY FORM
The Online Entry Form is available only on The Australian Screen Tests website - www.australianscreentests.com.au. All entries must be made on the official entry form.
The email address submitted on the entry form will be used for regular correspondence. Please make sure that the e-mail address is checked regularly. It is the entrant’s responsibility to notify AST of any changes in e-mail address. Please check junk mail and spam for AST e-mails.
The address entered on the entry form is the address to which all correspondence will be sent. Please ensure that this is current and secure.
4. FILL IN THE PROGRAMME BOOK DETAILS FORM & SUBMIT ALL PHOTOS
All entrants must supply two professional photographs. One professional headshot is for the programme book and photo gallery. The second photograph is for the photo gallery.
A good headshot is imperative to your success and recognition. We suggest that the headshot not be more than six (6) months old, as it needs to look like you! All photographs must be taken professionally.
Photos must be in jpeg format and be 300dpi. (Your local photo store or a good photographer will be able to assist you with this).
All photos must include the entrant’s first and last name in the file name. For example, Jane Doe’s primary headshot should be named janedoeheadshot1.jpeg.
Headshots should be a tight shot (from the top of the head to the breastbone). Please avoid makeup, jewellery or props. This is a headshot NOT a portrait.
5. PAYMENT
Early Bird (entries submitted prior to 30th April 2008)
1 Section: $225
2 Sections: $150 (total: $375)
3 Sections: $100 (total: $475)
Standard (entries submitted 1 April 2008 – 31 July 2008)
1 Section: $250
2 Sections: $200 (total: $450)
3 Sections: $150 (total: $600)
Individual forms must be completed for each entrant.
Entries include GST.
Payment must be made online by credit card or PayPal.
If your credit card is dishonored, we will not process your entry until this has been rectified. You will be charged a $50 fee to cover bank charges, processing fees and general administration.
An application will not be considered complete until payment has been made. A confirmation e-mail will be sent once payment is received.
6. LODGEMENT OF ENTRIES
Entries close midnight 31st July 2008.
No late entries will be accepted. (An entry will be considered late if payment is not received by the closing date.)
All entries are final. There are no refunds for cancellations, ‘no shows’ or missed sections.
Entry fees are not refundable except if an event is cancelled.
